Emergency Management

Jefferson County's Emergency Management system requires coordination of activities to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from natural or man-made emergencies or disasters. The Emergency Management program is administered by the Sheriff's Office with the Sheriff designated as the Director of Emergency Services.

The program is coordinated by an Emergency Manager, Sergeant Bryan Skidgel. The scope of the emergency management system includes cities, service districts, volunteer agencies, schools, and other organizations with emergency responsibilities.
