Dog Licensing in Jefferson County

Jefferson County's new PetData system is live!

Effective 09/08/2022 you can license and renew your dogs licenses online at:

The new dog license fees are: $12 per year for spayed or neutered dog; $28 per year for an active dog.  Senior citizen dog owners (age 65 and up) is $10 per year for a spayed or neutered dog.  Senior citizen license fees are not available for dogs that have not been neutered or spayed. 

Licenses can be purchased up to the last day of the month the rabies inoculation expires; less than 12 month license can ONLY be purchased if the rabies expires in less than 12 months; and fees are rounded to the nearest whole dollar amount.

Dog licenses may now be purchased for multiple years (up to three years - based on the rabies expiration date).
