Where can I obtain a shoulder patch from the sheriff’s office?

The Sheriff's Office does not exchange or sell any patches.

How do I sign up for a ride-along in a sheriff’s patrol car?

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office ride-along program offers the opportunity for interested citizens to observe the patrol function of the office by accompanying a deputy sheriff on a regular tour of duty. Any person 16 years of age or older may request to participate in the ride-along program by completing an application to participate and submitting it to the Patrol Sgt. at least one week prior to the requested date. Ride-Along Applications can be obtained by calling 541-475-6520. A waiver, release and indemnification form also must be signed, and if the applicant is under the age of 18, signed by a parent or legal guardian.
